 How many guests can I accommodate?
It depends upon the size of the marquee and whether your guests will be seated around tables or standing. However, our approximate guidelines are as follows:
28ft x 38ft marquee (up to 80 seated or 100 standing)
28ft x 28ft marquee (up to 40 seated or 54 standing)
20ft x 30ft marquee (up to 48 seated or 60 standing)
20ft x 20ft marquee (up to 32 seated or 40 standing)
Will I need a site visit?
Our price does not include a site visit. The Capri Marquees are very well priced and provided you have an area of grass which exceeeds the size of the marquee you wish to book and have easy access to this site, a site visit should not be necessary. If however you would feel reassured by a visit, or have what you feel is a difficult or more complex site, we charge (from £50) for site visits, payable on the day of visit.
Are they waterproof?
Yes.
How do the side walls attach?
The side walls fit into the arches in the marquee. There is a cord that runs along the inside line of the arches and the side walls clip onto the cord. They can also be pegged to the ground if required
Do I pay extra for sidewalls?
No, we bring them as matter of course.
Can I attach them myself?
If you choose later on to attach them they should take no longer than a couple of minutes each.
Will I need carpeting?
It very much depends on the kind of summer it will be, the type of event and the condition of the grass. Most weddings require carpeting, but many of the less formal events that we cover work perfectly well without. We offer a stardard carpet on our order form, however, should you require new contract carpet of a specific colour or coconut matting, this can be provided (price on application).
Do you supply dance floors?
We do supply dance floors for the 28' by 38' sixed marquees. They are boarded wooden dance floors, and measure 18' by 18'. Due to the structure design, we feel these are best located in the centre. With this type of dance floor, it would be unnecessary to have carpetting in addition.
What about heating?
Heating can be supplied but generally is only used in April, May and September.
How much electricity do the lights use?
The amount of amps that are drawn from a set of Uplighters (6) is approximately 3 amps. We provide circuit breakers and all we require is a standard plug point.
Can I decorate them myself?
You are more than welcome to decorate the marquees yourself, however we would request that use string where ever possible as opposed to tape.
For a Saturday event when typically will you set them up?
It very much depends on the type of event. For all the weddings we like to be finished by the Friday lunchtime leaving Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for the more informal events.
Do you hire toilets?
We do not get involved in toilet hire, however we can recommend some should you require
How many guests can I seat around a table?
As a general rule:
8-10 around a 5ft table
6-8 around a 4ft table
6 on a 6ft trestle table (plus one either end)
Can you suggest venues/caterers?
We work closely we a selection of catering companies/venues and would be please to recommend them where appropriate.
Can they be set up on hard surfaces?
Unfortunately they are unable to set up on anything other than grass.
How do I pay?
We require a £50 deposit with your booking form, with the balance due 14 days prior to your event. We will accept cheques, debit cards, credit cards (2.5% handling charge). Please see our payment options below.
